Abstract
The lighting talk considered King and Solis’ (2017) article article ‘Liaisons as sales force: using sales techniques to engage academic library users’ and how the presenter’s own background in sales and retail environments has added to her skillset as a liaison librarian. It argued that these skills are vital to liaison librarians in an increasingly customer-focused, engagement driven environment.
