Edwards, Sean Sapling. [Artefact]
Full text not available from this repository.Abstract
A permanent public commission at St Cyres School Penarth responding to the idea of memorial. The starting point for the commission was a missing WW1 roll of honour from the national school of Penarth. Working along side staff and students a research project looked at the potential of memorials to exist beyond the traditional ideas of figures on plinths. The commission, a bronze sapling, was installed to coincide with the WW1 centenary but acts as a ‘blank’ memorial for students and staff at the school to use as needed.
