This report presents the findings of NAGTY’s second annual survey of the workloads and support needs of gifted and talented coordinators in secondary schools in England. The purpose of the survey is to gain a national picture of the workloads and support needs of gifted and talented coordinators, or teachers responsible for gifted and talented education in their schools.
The annual survey of the workloads and support needs of gifted and talented coordinators is a part of the State of Play project, designed to enable NAGTY to map the range, reach and quality of gifted and talented education in England and to track and trigger, improvements. To achieve this purpose, qualitative and quantitative data from a range of sources are being collected and reported on regularly, to build up as comprehensive and as up-to-date a picture as possible of the current state of play in gifted and talented education in England. The annual coordinator survey is seen as integral to this work.
