Abstract

This paper explores current trends and initiatives in Design and Technology education in the English Primary curriculum. Case studies are used to illustrate the European perspective on developing Design and Technology provision in primary schools. The paper reflects on a recent Gifted and Talented initiative in the UK and its impact on teaching. The Gifted and Talented theme is also explored through a case study at ETEN with the US Project Clue teachers.
