Abstract
A co-presented part of a wider symposium presented at the European Conference on Domestic Violence, Barcelona 2025. This presentation considers that recovery and healing after domestic abuse is a process not an event and that a sizeable number of women survive abuse and are not able to access a community to fully recover their self confidence and self worth after leaving abuse. This presentation presents two organisational approaches from 'by and for' peer support and peer mentoring organisations in England, together with a feminist ethical model of peer mentoring for women.
