Should the Fraud Act apply to school admissions?
Looks at the Fraud Act 2006 and its relevance to school admissions. Recently, the Act has been brought to the fore by the attention of the media, concerning a woman and the application she made to a school on behalf of her five-year-old son. The local authority, noticing that the address that she had given was her mother's, decided to prosecute the Mrs Patel under the Act.
