Abstract

The study comes from Joanne Kuzma and Kate Dobson of the UK. They looked at gender diversity in the new commercial drone industry where there has been limited attention in academic research. The results of their study are published in the International Journal of Gender, Science and Technology. Among their findings, “The average rate of women employment was 13% across various countries” and that “…women are concentrated in non-technical positions, such as sales and administration.”
