Bigger, Stephen (2011) Malcolm Saville's North Yorkshire Stories. Malcolm Saville Society.
Malcolm Saville, writer of stories for children and young people, wrote The Buckinghams at Ravenswyke (1952) and Mystery Mine in 1959, both set in the Goathland/Whitby area. Mystery Mine also incorporated details of Wharram Percy Deserted Village, between Malton and Driffield. This two part paper written for the Malcolm Saville Society explores literary, historical and geographical issues in these stories.
This is an expanded and illustrated version of the text published, copyright with the author.
