Abstract

Readers are encouraged to read this commentary alongside
the ACPRC position statement and scoping review1 on simulation based education (SBE) in cardiorespiratory physio-therapy. This commentary is designed to:

• Provide an introduction to SBE
• Discuss the importance of faculty training
• Discuss the outcome measures evaluating SBE within
cardiorespiratory physiotherapy
• Recommendations for future research have been made in
the scoping review
