Abstract

Research has indicated that CMT can negatively affect an individual’s quality of life, particularly
their health-related quality of life. However, much of the research which has found this has relied
on general questionnaires which are not specific to CMT and therefore may not be assessing what
is important to people with CMT. This study aimed to develop an in-depth understanding of the
way in which adults with CMT think about their health-related quality of life and the factors which
influence this, in order to make recommendations for developing methods of appropriate
assessment and intervention.
