A playlist of videos documenting the inaugural potlatch ceremony of Chief Alan Hunt at the Tsaxis Big house in Fort Rupert, British Columbia, Canada on September 3rd 2016. The documentation was edited and shared with Alan in 2017 to be used as an educational resource within the Kwakwaka’wakw communities of Fort Rupert and Alert Bay. The documentation forms part of a long term arts research project called The Skullcracker Suite that reflects upon decolonial practices in British Columbia since the 1970’s. A section from the Raven Transformation Mask sequence forms part of an augmented reality component of a permanent exhibition More than Masks at the Staatliche Ethnological Museum in Berlin.
