Abstract
With our NHS under increasing pressure from the demands of care delivery and financial cuts, it is ever more important that we, who are involved in wound care/tissue viability, objectively assess the quality of the service provided. To this end, it is vital that we are aware of what we do, at what cost, and with which outcomes. To date, this has not been subject to formal, independent measurement, rather to occasional publications of local outcomes, issues, and commentary on care.
