Abstract

Malcolm Saville, writer of stories for children and young people, wrote The Buckinghams at Ravenswyke (1952) and Mystery Mine in 1959, both set in the Goathland/Whitby area. Mystery Mine also incorporated details of Wharram Percy Deserted Village, between Malton and Driffield.
