Abstract

The article discusses how to ensure palliative care access for all by examining the strategic framework for action on end-of-life and palliative care of the Scottish government. Other topics include the basic components of the strategy like training many health professionals the philosophy of palliative care and tackling the difficult discussions about death and dying, and the importance of palliative care research to improve care.
