Abstract

In May 2015, Library Services began work to overhaul its online presence. We had several websites under various addresses and our visual identity was inconsistent. Out of date pages and defunct links were a huge problem. Disparate systems caused clunky user journeys; opening in new tabs, no return journey and different branding.

In September 2017 we delivered library.worc.ac.uk using LibGuides CMS, bringing together all of Library Services’ support information and services. There's more work to be done, but this presentation charts our journey to this point.

This material is based on a presentation given at The Online User Experience; LibGuides and Library Web Pages, organised by the Mercian Staff Development Group.
